BlueBird Blog Design for 2009

Hello - yes you ARE on the BlueBird Blog, your browser has brought you to the right place and everything is still there. Even me

Everything looks a bit different now and that is just fine - don’t you think so?

The re-design was planned for 2009 but I was told by my friend and webdesigner Pepe that these wedding photos need a different backdrop - more classy - more elegant and fresh. So, the "Dream-Team" went into conclave again and after a mad session with php and css for Pepe and plenty of photoshop for me, some wild plugins, a total new upgrade to Wordpress 2.6, far to much coffee and tea - we can finally get the champagne out!

BlueBird goes red! Red for the LOVE you can see in the wedding photos, in the baby and mom photos and red for my LOVE for photography. Red is for PASSION too. The passion I have for my job, for the photographs of my clients and  my passion to make them look as best as I can.

Ok, I better do not mention red for the colour I see when I have to edit something in the code - on the Wordpress website is says: "CODE IS POETRY" - if only for me too *sigh* but hey, you can’t even imagine how happy I am to know Pepe. I think making all this work was a masterstroke once again. There is nothing what he can’t do. Wooohoo! Hurray for Pepe! And Thank You too - not only for all his work but for being so patient with me, explaining things and always reading my mind.

Anyway, did you have a look around and see all the blink yet?  The flashy header images, bigger pictures for you to enjoy and an extra page for all the slideshows. There are some small bits here and there as well but one of the biggest improvements I think is the change in the backend. Its so much more fun to work and post now. So - I am a real happy cookie right now!

But what is a post with no photo??? How boring!!!!  I have something extra special for you tonight. While Pepe was working on the BlueBird Theme I went out and had a ton of fun with three very cool girls. Thank You Katie, Sarah and Hayley for being so funky models - you rock girls!!!! I cant wait to do the next episode of this.

19th July 2008 :: Natalie & Michael

Did I mention that I absolutely LOVE to photograph weddings?

What an amazing day!  Where should I begin? The most stunning bride and her groom, the fantastic location at the Royal Hotel in Weston Super-Mare, the super-lovely ceremony and the wild party at night? The way down there from Pembrokeshire was worth 4 hours drive and every single mile. 12,5 hours permanent photographing was a marathon for me and I just like to say THANK YOU Natalie and Micky for letting me witness and capture your fantastic day.

Natalie is german too and she lives in my old hometown in Paderborn in Germany. We have met many many years ago, so it was extra special for me to be there. I saw many familiar faces from Paderborn and like to send some greetings to the girls who were there from Paderborn

Here are a few teasers for you and I will let you know when your gallery is up for viewing.

EDIT: Watch the slideshow of the days highlights here >>>

During our privat session in the park I managed to capture a snapshot while the wind lifted Natalie’s dress up. I love this image and couldn’t resist showing it here

I finally photographed my very first wedding …

Karen & Alan got married on the 28th of June - congratulations again and thank you for letting me be part of your special day!

I can’t really describe the day as I am still a bit overwhelmed by it all. I so enjoyed being there and I can’t wait to hear and see your reaction when you see the images I took of your wedding.

I will see you soon!

One of the images I really like is this one of the rings:
