I have to tell you about my first all-in-welsh wedding of Cefin & Angharad at Slebech Park. I guess it was only a matter of time that I had to find myself right in the middle of a lot of welsh talking wedding guests – as strange as it felt in the beginning – I did enjoy every minute of it. The lovely Registrar held the most important parts of the ceremony bilingual as there were a few English speaking people present too. Listening to Angaharad and Cefin's vows in welsh was very touching and I realised that you don't really have to understand the words as Cefin and Angharad's looks and hands gave the meaning of what they said away so very clearly.

The speeches again were very interesting – not being able to understand I could only guess what has been said – the funniest part for me was the "english" words which appeared every now and then. I can recall Tom Boy, football, martial arts, snowboarding and someone said: Make Love not war! Ok, that was different!

But enough about how strange it can be if you can not understand welsh – Anghard and Cefin had a very beautiful and lovely wedding day with their guests at Slebech. I think I did mention before that this location slowly becomes like a second home for me. Matt and all of the staff have been doing a great job again and always happy to lend a helping hand, answering any questions and looking after the happy couple, their guests and the photographers too. I also had a special helper from the wedding party – Rhiannon! Thanks for providing me with some information, the rings to photograph, helping to gather guest for photographs and I also like to make a compliment as Rhiannon did the beautiful flower arrangements all over the venue. Well done they were stunning!

Finally the big day of Simon and Kim arrived! Their wedding took place at the beautiful little church of St. Issells in Saundersfoot. I must admit that I felt nearly as exited as Kim and by now I feel almost like part of the family too. Regular blog readers already know Simon and Kim from when I first met them to do Kim's bump shots, then Hazel's baby photos and the E-session a few weeks back. Therefore it was my extreme pleasure to be with them on their very special day too.

And what a beautiful day it was – summer, sun and blue skies! The little church is the perfect backdrop for a special wedding and not to forget – Hazel's christening too! Kim's dress was fabulous and Simon's suit with the top hat, as well as all the other boy's outfits were perfect for a hat tossing shot a bit further down. Oh, and the car! When Kim told me that she would arrive at church in style with Jeff from Top Class Cars and in the stunning REO Flying Cloud, I knew that we would get some stunning images with this vintage beauty. I love this car so much and if you know Jeff – he is up for everything and a good laugh too. This time he let me place Simon behind the wheel for Kim to push – there was of course absolutely nothing wrong with the car!

But now – picture time! Congratulations again to Simon, Kim and Hazel! Thank you for letting me be part of your special day.

Sometimes, special circumstances prevent me from letting you be part of a special photoshoot which I did. This is one of them.

Still, this wedding was very special and Slebech Park is slowly turning into my favourite location for wedding photography here in Pembrokeshire. It is always fun being there, the people are very nice, the service is excellent and the food is fantastic – everytime! Do you know that they grow their own vegetables for the restaurant there? They do and their head gardener has created a lovely spot to the back of the gardens, he brought the old walled gardens back to life!

When I did the last wedding in Slebech, I was fortunate enough to capture not only great wedding photographs but also some images of the place itself and the vivid flowers which bloomed everywhere. This, I thought would be nice to share with you.

When Sean contacted me on the Wednesday evening and asked if I would be able to photograph his wedding on the Saturday (3 days later!) I thought at first that somebody tried to make fun of me. But I soon had to find out that Sean was rather stressed out as he had to find out that his booked wedding photographer could not be there for his wedding day. I managed to re-arranged my plans for this day and was able to be with Sean and his lovely bride Beth on their wedding day.

Beth is originally from Solva and so the couple decided to get married there in St. Aidan's Church.  The reception was held at the historic Warpool Court Hotel and we also had a stop by St. David'S Cathederal for some private photographs of the newly wedded couple.

I absolutely loved the wedding car! It's a REO Flying Cloud from 1929 and I thought the vintage treatment for the images is fitting here.

It was a booking in the last minute – literally – I had the phonecall on the monday to photograph John & Clare’s wedding on the friday.  Set in the stunning Slebech Park, it was a photographer’s dream – that is if it is NOT raining.

Clare had the most fantastic silver shoes and a geourgeous silvery, lacy dress to compliment her beautiful figure – she looked just stunning! But what am I talking about – have a look yourself!
