The weather here in the Uk recently is very depressing, it’s cold, it’s miserable and it’s wet

Like the other day, I am playing around with my speedlight which I still haven’t got under control properly. I got given a box of pot pourrie from one of my school children of the bus for christmas. I thought they would make some nice objects to play with. I used a closeup filter and opened my aperture up fully to get minimum dof.

I love how the colors turned out in these.

I haven’t used a backdrop or anything, just placed them on my desk and bounced the flash on the door on my left, the other lightsource was my desk lamp

We went to Ikea on saturday, found this cuddly toy rat and thought -it’s the perfect toy for Maximus!

I think we were right …..

Happy New year to all!

I hope you all arrived safe in 2008 and had some wonderful celebrations on New year’s Eve!

As you can see there is a different name in the header of the blog. With the beginning of 2008 I have changed my name into Blue Bird Photography! I had a lot of people asking me about Zoozeegraphy – it was a hard name to get used to and some people just couldn’t get their tongue around it.

I was thinking for a different name since months and months but everything what I came up with was either already used by someone else or not suitable. So now here we are as Blue Bird Photography. The blog and my webpage (which is still offline until the new design and layout is implemented) will stay on these adresses for a couple of weeks but I like to already remind you to change your bookmarks.

But I have some more new things for you 

I have started the new year with a photoshoot of a different kind. My DH has been begging me for ages to do some photographs of his pride and joy – his car. I have never done anything like this before but I think the pictures turned out quiet funky. He adores them – thank god  

and of course – one with the dog

I think this location is pretty cool too. I love all the different angles and metal from this multistore car park and the rugged cement ground has a beautiful texture. I have to take some willing humans there next
